Troubleshooting
Montevalle homeowners can get help with a website problem. Please follow these troubleshooting steps before reporting the problem.
Perform one of these steps at a time in the order listed. Then check whether the problem is resolved after each step before proceeding to the next step.
- Refresh your web browser’s page by pressing the <CTRL> key and <F5> key at the same time.
- Clear your web browser’s cache (temporary storage area). (This function is located in your web browser’s settings (or preferences) area, and varies by browser. Learn how to clear the cache of many web browsers.)
- Close your web browser and then open it.
- Restart your computer.
- Verify you are using the most current version of your web browser. (View the current version number of popular web browsers.) If necessary, install the current version of your web browser.
If the problem still occurs after performing the steps above, gather and write down the following information:
- What is the name and version # of your web browser? (Click Help —> About in your browser’s menu.)
- What is the name and version # of your operating system? (Identify your operating system version.)
- If this problem occurs while using a smart phone, what is the brand and model of the smart phone, and name and version # of its operating system? (Identify your cell phone.)
- If this problem occurs while using a tablet, iPad, or desktop monitor, what is the brand and model of the tablet/iPad/desktop model?
- Describe the problem:
- What is the name and address of the web page and specific location on the page where the problem occurs?
- What steps do you perform to reproduce the problem?
- Does this problem occur sporadically or each time you view the web page?
- Include as many details about the problem as you can.
- What error message displays when the problem occurs, if any?
- Include a screenshot that illustrates the problem, if possible. (Learn how to take a screenshot on any device.)
Report a Website Problem
Follow the instructions in the Troubleshooting section above to gather information about the problem. Then report this problem to the webmaster by sending an email message. In your email message, include all the information describing the problem which you collected above, plus these two required pieces of information:
- your first and last name
- your Montevalle Space/Unit #
(No phone calls, please.)
Expect to receive a response to your problem report within 48 hours.
